As an Association for Asian Studies (AAS) affiliate group, it facilitated collaboration and comparative approaches to the humanistic study of Korea and Vietnam. The KVG is now also calling for submissions for Korea and Vietnam-related panel proposals for consideration as group’s sponsored panel to the 2020 meeting of the AAS.

The KVG will select a panel to formally sponsor for the AAS, which both adds to the visibility of the KVG in the meetings and increases the chances that the selected panel will ultimately be included in the AAS conference.

The deadline for submissions of panels to KVG for consideration will be July 25, 2019. Please note that proposals must follow the AAS guidelines and the panel organizer must submit the proposal to AAS as well as to KVG. To submit your panel for KVG consideration, please send the full proposal (including panel and individual abstracts) to the Korea-Vietnam Working Group Sponsorship Committee, c/o Dr. Bradley Camp Davis, davisbrad@easternct.edu. The committee expects to notify organizers of its decision by July 27, ten days before the AAS deadline.
